About the Team:
We are a group of senior undergraduate electrical engineering students and share similar interest in the power engineering field.
John Jennison - Team Coordinator
John is a senior in electrical engineering with emphasis in power and control systems. He is experienced in Autocad, Microsoft Project, C, Matlab, and PSSE. At Iowa State University, he volunteers in Engineers without Borders and he served as Vice President and project manager. He was in the Navy for 6 years where he worked as a power plant operator, and has internship experience in power transmission and in drinking water and wastewater treatment system design.
Shadoe Rusk - Calculation Lead
Shadoe is a senior in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power Distribution and Design and a Minor In Energy System. He has experience working with PSSE, MATLAB, Maple 16, AutoCad, Microsoft Office, C coding language, and has an extensive background with automotive mechanics. Shadoe is also a NCAS (NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars) alumni.
Adilene Prieto - Test Engineer
Adilene is a first generation senior in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power systems. She has experience with MATLAB, C, PSSE, Excel, soldering, and electronic circuit design. She has had an internship with Electrical Power Products where she would assist a project manager in the summer of 2020. At Iowa State University, she is involved in SHPE as well as Latinx Student Initiatives, serving as the vice president.
Kyle Neal - Designer
Kyle is a senior in electrical engineering with emphasis in power systems. He has experience working with MATLAB, C, and AutoCAD.
Matthew Schindler - Designer and Mentor Liason
Matthew is a senior in electrical engineering with an emphasis in electromagnetics. He has experience in AutoCad electrical, soldering, MATLAB and is certified in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Aayush Shah - Researcher and Calculation Lead
Aayush is an E.I.T. and a senior in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power Distribution and Design and a Minor in Energy Systems. He has experience in PSSE, MATLAB, AutoCAD, and Excel. Aayush has also had internships with Eaton during the summer of 2020 and 2021, working on various Power related projects either as a field engineer or as a power systems engineer.
Logan Miller - Researcher and Website Designer
Logan is a senior in electrical engineering from Cedar Rapids, Iowa with an emphasis in power. He enjoys staying active and has been a member on the Iowa State Cheerleading team from 2019-present. During the summers of 2020 and 2021 he has interned with Kiewit Corporation. Post graduation he will begin working with them full-time, in their electrical systems group.
